Insider Claims Take-Two Has Told Sony and Microsoft There Are No Planned GTA 6 Delays

A prominent industry insider is claiming that Take-Two Interactive has given both Sony and Microsoft formal assurances that Grand Theft Auto 6 will not be delayed again, keeping its November 19, 2026 release date intact.
The claim comes from Millie A, a leaker with a track record that includes correctly calling GTA 6's second delay from May to November 2026. Writing on X, Millie A stated: "Sony and Microsoft have been formally notified by Take-Two Interactive that Grand Theft Auto VI remains on track for release within the current fiscal year. At this stage, there are no planned delays, and the launch 'window' is understood to be firm."
Context: A Game with Two Delays Already
GTA 6 has slipped twice from its original window. Rockstar first targeted Fall 2025, then moved to May 2026, before a second delay pushed the game to its current November date. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick cited the need for additional polish on both occasions. That history has understandably left some fans sceptical, even in the face of positive signals.
One complication with Millie A's post is the wording. The mention of a "current fiscal year" release is technically inaccurate: Take-Two's fiscal year ends on March 31, meaning November 19 falls into fiscal year 2027. Whether this is a loose phrasing or a meaningful inconsistency is unclear.
Other Signs Development Is Progressing
Separate from the insider claim, Rockstar recently opened a game tester recruitment drive at its Bangalore studio, with candidates invited to attend sessions on April 18, 2026. Multiple outlets have interpreted this as evidence that GTA 6 is in its final QA phase ahead of launch.
Take-Two has also publicly confirmed that a full marketing campaign for GTA 6 is set to begin this summer, with one insider separately predicting an August window for the third trailer.
What Rockstar Has Said
Rockstar and Take-Two have not commented publicly on the Millie A post. The November 19 date remains the only officially confirmed information. The next Take-Two earnings call is expected in May, at which point the company is likely to reaffirm the launch window directly to investors.
